This Weekend: 2026 Norfolk Harborfest!

Get ready for the 50th Annual Harborfest® on the Downtown Norfolk Waterfront! This year is coincides with Juneteenth and the Sail250 Virginia Celebration! 

Harborfest® is a FREE festival and a favorite for all ages. Activities like touring the tall ships, watching the Parade of Sail, regional and national entertainment featuring pirates, family activities, and of course the HUGE display of fireworks both Friday and Saturday.

Where: Town Point Park, Norfolk VA

When:

• Friday, June 19, 2026 from 11am – 11pm
  • Juneteenth Ceremony 11am
  • Parade of Sail begins at 12pm – Parade of Sail viewing locations: Plum Point: 11 AM – 2PM | Front Street Piers & Festival Park: 11 AM – 2 PM | Town Point Park & Freemason: 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM
  • 9:30pm Juneteenth Fireworks Display over the Elizabeth River (see our complete local list of upcoming Fireworks Displays Here!)

• Saturday, June 20, 2026 – 12 – 11pm
  • 9:30pm – Harborfest Fireworks Display over the Elizabeth River (see our complete local list of upcoming Fireworks Displays Here!)

• Sunday, June 21, 2026 – 12pm – 8pm

Cost: The entire weekend is FREE and open to the public!

Water Events: Some of the highlights will include (of course) the ships, Parade of Sail, boat races, and other water activities.

Kids: Activities for the kids will be available (Pirate fun, The Red Trouser Show, the Elizabeth River Project Learning Barge, The Discovery Deck at Nauticus Pavilion, The Real McCoy Show, and more).

Families with Special Needs: A Sensory Comfort Zone will be available daily – KultureCity’s mobile outreach unit “S.A.V.E” will be located within Town Point Park (near the entrance to Boush/Main Streets).

Fireworks: The fireworks are scheduled for Friday AND Saturday night, June 19 & 20, 2026, at 9:30pm. Fireworks are set off from a barge in the Elizabeth River.
