Amazon Description: ‘Kitchi And The Avalanche’ is the third book in the ‘Kitchi’s Adventures’ series. The story is aimed at children aged 4 to 8 years old. In his second story, ‘Kitchi And The Mountain Fire’, he and the forest animals worked together to put out a forest fire that threatened to destroy their home. In this story, Kitchi and Lena are out exploring on the first day of spring. The days are still cold, even though the sun is shining brightly above the forest, and the mountains are still covered in snow.
Kitchi and Lena find a cave and brave Kitchi wants to explore inside. But suddenly something disastrous happens and he is trapped inside the cave, with no way out on his own. Lena runs to get help from Tyee the great elk and Mato, Kitchi’s father.
This tale has been written to help children to know when to trust others who want to help them. The outstanding illustrations allow young readers to follow Kitchi on his adventure more closely.
A wonderful tale with an unexpected turn, leading young readers to listen to young Kitchi and learn from him as he works his way out of his muddle, yet again.
