Atlantic Coast Kite Festival 2012

Come out a fly a kite this weekend at the Atlantic Coast Kite Festival! The Festival will be taking place over two days:

Saturday, May 5th: at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront on the beach at 17th Street and in the 17th Street Park from 10am-5pm.

Sunday, May 6th: at City Park 140 City Park Avenue, Portsmouth VA from 10am-5pm.

Activities at both locations will include:

  • Best Kite Contest from 2-4om each day (free to enter)
  • Kite Building Workshop (there is a fee)
  • Kite Flying Demonstrations

Prizes will be awarded both days to the oldest and youngest kitefliers, funniest kite, most unusual kite, and biggest kite.
