Flag Raising: NATO Fest will be happening all weekend long beginning 5pm Thursday, April 26, 2018, at the Norfolk NATO Festival Flag Raising at Scope Plaza.

Hullabaloo: Happy hour Tattoo style! Three hours of pipers, dancers, drill teams and drum lines. Plus food vendors and beer tent with tasty craft beers and DrumLine Battle™ is back! Expect performances by international military bands, dancers, drill teams and some of our favorite local dancers and musicians. The Hullabaloo is a perfect opportunity to shake hands with an active duty member of armed forces and take a selfie with a highland dancer. Get tattooed three hours prior to the Tattoo!

International Tattoo: Virginia International Tattoo performances at Scope Arena! The largest spectacle of Music and Might in the United States of America offers an astounding display of inspirational military music, majestic massed pipes and drums, show-stopping drill team maneuvers, colorful and elegant dancers, and much more. Tickets start at $20.

Parade: I know many of you will be looking forward to the parade! The 65th Annual Parade of Nations is scheduled to take place Saturday morning, April 28, 2018 at 10am in downtown Norfolk. The Norfolk NATO Festival is proud to present its annual Parade of Nations, the longest continuously running parade in Hampton Roads and the only parade in the United States honoring NATO! Over 100 Parade Units with local and visiting high school bands, U.S. and International Military bands, and colorful floats which represent each of the 29 NATO Member Nations! Local community organization and Festival partners are also featured.

International Village (formally NATO Fest): After the parade on April 28th you can visit the International Village at Town Point Park in Norfolk to experience the diversity of 29 different nations in one location, all without needing a passport! Explore international heritage with cultural performances, international art, cuisine and craft beers. Come celebrate with the whole family in a European Street fair atmosphere in Downtown Norfolk. To find out more about the International Village Click HERE. This event is FREE and open to the public.

Virginia International Tattoo American Pipe Band Championship: Saturday, April 28, 2018 with the Competition scheduled for 12:00 PM-5:00 PM. Massed Band Performance and Awards at 6pm at Scope Plaza. The competition, which coincides with the Tattoo performance weekend, will feature hundreds of bagpipers and drummers as they compete for the honors in this annual competition! Vendors will be on-site with a variety of food and drink. Free and open to the public.

Highland Heavy Athletics: Sunday, April 29, 2018, 11:30 AM at the Virginia Arts Festival Greenspace, Corner of Charlotte & Bank Streets, Norfolk. Free and Open to the Public For the second year, the Virginia International Tattoo is partnering with Brute Strength Gym for a Heavy Athletic Championship, Highland-style, with a caber toss, keg toss and more.
