One of my favorite local events, and a great way for the kids (and family!) to volunteer in the days leading up to Thanksgiving!
"Little Hands, Big Difference" sponsored by the Junior League of Norfolk-Virginia Beach is taking place Saturday, November 18, 2017. This fun-filled day is dedicated to teaching children the importance of volunteering, giving thanks, and eating healthy.
Where: The Williams School, 419 Colonial Ave, Norfolk VA (this is a location change from previous events!)
When: Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 10am-2pm
Description: Join us for a family-friendly event where kids have the opportunity to volunteer through interactive, educational, and service-oriented activities stations including coloring dinner placemats for local homeless shelters, writing thank you cards for our military and first responders, making bird feeders for nursing homes, and much more! Other fun stations include games, a photo-booth, and make your own snacks. Children will also have a chance to help those fighting hunger this holiday season by collecting and sorting food donations. Please bring your own canned and dry goods to be included in our donation to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia at the end of the day.
