Celebrating Children

Bring the family out to enjoy a FREE community event with the Virginia Beach GrowSmart Foundation this Saturday. Participate in the 1 mile FUN run and enjoy the various exhibitors with fun for the kids and resources for the parents.

Where: Mt Trashmore Park 310 Edwin Drive Virginia Beach VA

When: Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 8:30am-12pm

Description: A FREE day of family Fun! Enjoy live entertainment, a 1 Mile Fun Run, health screenings, inflatables, children’s crafts & activities, and a wide array of resources and exhibitors. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity for family entertainment and community engagement including:

  • Kid-friendly games, crafts and activities.
  • Bounce houses and inflatable games.
  • Petting Zoo 
  • DJ & Entertainment
  • Virginia Beach Public Library’s Bookmobile
