The Wesley Community Service Center, Inc. provides multiple programs and support for urgent and unmet individual, family and community needs in the South-side of Portsmouth Virginia. Food distribution, clothes closet, exercise class, Meals on Wheels, Summer Camp.

Skype and Zoom lessons available - Ukelele, Piano, and Guitar

Mother's Day Out program offered for ages 2 1/2 and up. Two, three and five-day programs are provided Monday through Friday (these days may vary according to registrations received) from 9am until 12 Noon.

State-licensed school for children age 2 through Kindergarten, offering Wilson Fundations Reading Program, a phonics-based program.

Youth Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Football, Softball, Teeball, Volleyball

Horseback riding lessons, camps, and boarding.

Natural area with available hiking, fishing, bird watching, horseback riding, nature observation. Multi-use trails: 2.5 miles of soft path and .3 miles of paved ADA-compliant trails.

Half-day and full-day preschool. Full day Kindergarten. After school care for Chittum Elementary, WB Primary, and WB Intermediate students. Transportation provided by City of Chesapeake. Summer camp programs for children ages 2-12.

The Clinic provides high-quality, non-emergency health care to the residents of Western Tidewater who cannot otherwise afford it. We serve uninsured, underinsured and underserved, age 18 or older with a household income at or below 300% FPL.

The Sanctuary covers about eight acres of land in the western edge of the West Ghent neighborhood. It is open to the public from 9 AM on Saturday until 6 PM on Sunday (5 PM in the winter months).

What The Farm Kids Camp is a summer, week-long full-day program for children ages 5-12 years old. Campers will work with our experienced farm staff to learn about sustainable agricultural practices, such as caring for our farm animals, collecting eggs, turning compost, planting, weeding, irrigating, harvesting, studying bees and pollinators, and making homemade foods. What The Farm is all about fostering a child’s creativity, natural curiosity, and appreciation for the outdoors… oh, and lots of ORGANIC fun!
