Hampton Hoops promotes healthy communities and fun in a safe environment. The program aims to improve social interaction, positive character building and provides leadership opportunities. The City of Hampton, and community leaders have partnered to create the program and hope to inspire participating youth to become representatives of a safe and secure community in Hampton and throughout. Ages 8-24.
Our Horror Tours are back to bring tales of mystery and the macabre to the streets of Hampton…and with more fun and fright than ever before! Even if you’ve been a regular on our Horror Tours in the past, you won’t want to miss their reincarnation! Not recommended for children under 8. Find updates here.

We are a Youth Sports association based out of Hampton Virginia. Our Mission is to teach teamwork, discipline and leadership skills through sports.
Tennis programs ages 5+ run from April through October
Hampton Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Services Therapeutic Recreation division provides specialized services for individuals with disabilities in Hampton. Therapeutic recreation activities may include swimming classes, craft classes, trips, camps, adult programs, special events, and varied offerings every season. Our participant-to-staff ratio is appropriate to the needs of the group.
In addition, we provide accommodations upon request for individuals with disabilities in our general recreation programs. The Therapeutic Recreation staff will work with participants, parents/guardians, and staff to help ensure an enjoyable recreation experience. Advanced notice for any requests for accommodations are welcome.
The Hampton University Museum is the oldest museum in the nation dedicated to African-American art and culture. Among the new additions is an exhibit showcasing modern art from Africa that coincided with the Black American Renaissance.
Museum Hours: Monday–Friday: 8am–5pm | Saturday, Sunday, and all Major Holidays: Closed | Archives are closed on Saturday

Enrichment and academic opportunities for participants of all ages.
This state-of-the-art aquatics center provides recreational opportunities for the community with a 50-meter pool, a 25-yard pool and an outdoor splash park. This facility serves two purposes: as a community fitness and wellness center with swimming lessons and as a generator of youth sports travel. The complex offers water safety and first learn-to-swim classes to all Hampton second-grade students. Spring and summer camps available.

Inner City Innovations Foundation Provides opportunities for inner city children to participate in activities and outings such as camping, fishing, gardening, computer literacy and mentoring. Our goal is to provide opportunities for children to gain hands on experiences that will build self-esteem and provide mentoring resources.
Inspired Life Services provides consumer directed service facilitation and caregiver advocacy for families navigating the complexities of long-term for individuals of all ages with chronic illness or a developmental disability. We support individuals from initial screening through ongoing service management. We help families get personal care, respite care and companion services.
Our services include functional assessments, person-centered care planning, Medicaid guidance, EOR training, regular home visits, and assistance with fiscal agent enrollment through PPL or CDCN—all to ensure safe, effective, and uninterrupted care. Inspired Life Services is led by a professional case manager, service facilitator, and caregiver advocate with a B.S. in Rehabilitation Services and an M.A. in Human Services—backed by 13 years of both personal and professional experience.

At The James River Association summer camps, youth don’t just learn about the river—they explore it, paddle it, sketch it, fish it, and build real skills alongside experienced educators. Through hands-on activities in art, fishing, outdoor skills, and paddling, campers gain confidence, curiosity, and a deeper sense of belonging to the James River.
Every day is an adventure. Every experience builds connection. No experience needed—just curiosity and clothes that can get dirty. Ages 9 -15.

The Junior Commonwealth's Attorney Program, aimed at students who will be entering the seventh through 10th grades in the fall, provides an up-close look at law enforcement and court proceedings at the local and state levels.
This program allows for FREE Bowling for Kids over summer break (and sometimes beyond).
