The goal of Shining Light Homes is to be an Advocate for struggling single mothers. We connect them to available resources and provide education, counseling, goal setting, and other life skills that will help these young mother become self-sufficient and productive citizens in their community. it is our desire to move these you women from homelessness to a home of their own.

Our premier private preschool offers exceptional education to children ages 3-5 (and independent 2.5 year olds). We feature small class sizes for maximum 1-on-1 learning, fun hands-on activities to make learning fun, faith-based Bible lessons, and a “whole child” curriculum that helps develop your child’s social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive skills. Summer camps.

Classes for ages 18 months and up! Styles offered: Mommy & Me, Baby Ballerina/Creative Movement, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop (including Boys Only Hip Hop), Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theater, and Acro/Tumbling. Welcoming and accommodating for students of all abilities. Day time classes available. Homeschool classes available. Summer programs available.

ShoeLady coordinates with Hampton Roads schools to provide shoes to children who need them.

Equestrian Vaulting, gymnastics and dance on a moving horse to music - Heighten your sense of balance. Great cross training for Gymnastics or Cheerleading. Ages 4 and up. Recreational and competition team.

A state-of-the-art fitness & aquatics center, indoor/outdoor pools and water park, mini-golf, teen enrichment, Baby + Me meet-ups, an art gallery, seniors club & programming, summer day camp and cultural offerings open to people of all faiths.

Activities for youth include infant playgroups, soccer (pre k – 3rd grade), yoga for kids, t-ball, youth basketball league, swimming (lessons and Swordfish Summer Swim team), self defense and little ninjas, and Kids Night Out.

Had my daughter's eighth birthday party here. It was a great time. Staff was really accommodating and nice, and the pool area is beautiful!!!

The interior areas / showers are super clean but I wish the outside pool was that clean too. It was so dirty I couldn’t get in.

The outdoor pool is absolutely magnificent—spotlessly clean and thoughtfully designed for all age groups. We visit every chance we get and often stay until closing because it’s just that enjoyable. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive, which makes every visit even better. Highly recommended!

Great recreation center with clean floors and friendly staff. Had a basketball game there and was very pleased with the court as it was good for traction which helps with cuts and movements. The locker rooms were also nice and had plenty of available space for use

Though not a member, they're pool and water playground is great for bringing our young kids and at a very reasonable price! $8 a kid and lots of shade for everyone where it counts.

Siren City Pipe Band Youth Piping & Drumming instills the values of teamwork, leadership, and musicianship in the next generation of pipers and drummers in Hampton Roads. Students 8 to 18 will have the opportunity to go from zero to pipe band, learning either the bagpipes or Scottish-style snare drum from Siren City Pipe Band members.

Siren Jiu Jitsu is a woman-owned small business dedicated to providing quality girls' martial arts instruction. Our female-led coach is here to help young girls ages 6-12 achieve their jiu jitsu goals in a safe, supportive environment.

Classes are also available for both men and women ages 16+ to adults, from beginner to advanced. There is a play area where younger kids can play while you train.

Working with expecting mommies to provide support, confidence, empowerment and education during prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum as their doula. I am there for them to lessen anxiety, nervousness, overwhelm and frustration during their journey to motherhood. I was also a L&D nurse. Call me to chat on how we can doula together.
