YVCHR Volunteer Project – Sew Much Love at Sunshine Quilt Corner (Newport News)

Let’s show some love by sewing it!
Details: Youth will learn how to sew pillowcases using the “burrito” method with the wonderful Quilters Guild at Sunshine Quilt Corner. Pillowcases will be donated to an organization that creates kits for patients with cancer .
Youth Needed: 10
Special Considerations: Youth do not need a sewing machine for this project due to the generosity of the Quilter’s Guild, but if you have one that you know how to use, feel free to bring it.
Organization Served: Kits To Heart was founded in May 2020 in Clarksville, MD, and distributes thoughtfully designed, curated cancer care kits to hospitals and cancer centers, as well as ships directly to patients nationwide.
