Due to the potential impacts of inclement weather expected this weekend, the Winter Relief Mobile Distribution scheduled for Wednesday, January 28, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 11. This post has reflected the change.
REMINDER The Foodbank will host a Winter Relief Mobile Distribution to ease household strain following the holidays, as families manage lingering credit card bills, higher winter utility costs, and ongoing impacts from the recent federal government shutdown.
Wednesday, February 11
Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater at Virginia Beach (3550 Cellar Door Way, Virginia Beach, VA 23456)
Enter via Dam Neck Road.
9 am to 1 pm, or while supplies last
Fresh produce, lean protein, and pantry staples for 2,000 households
Pickups are allowed for a maximum of three households per vehicle.
Arrive with your trunk empty and ready, remain in your vehicle with it in park, and end phone calls while waiting to be called forward.
We recognize that large-scale distributions serve targeted communities and have committed to increasing the distribution of fresh produce and lean protein at mobile pantries throughout January and February in Western Tidewater and the Eastern Shore, where food access is more limited.
