Explore the Civil Rights Movement and its ongoing impact on political participation with Dr. Cassandra Newby-Alexander and Dr. Charles H. Ford. This lecture examines the fight for voting rights and what it means today.

Dr. Newby-Alexander is a Professor of History and Director of the Joseph Jenkins Roberts Center for African Diaspora Studies at Norfolk State University, and Dr. Ford is a Professor of History at Norfolk State University
