UPAC Presents Black Girl Magic – MATINEE at Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts (Suffolk)

Underground Performing Arts Collective (UPAC)  in Partnership with Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts Presents Black Girl Magic

Written and compiled by Sharon Cook, with original music composed by Roberta Lea, this production weaves poetry, monologues, dance, music, and cinematic storytelling into a compelling narrative. Audiences will follow the journey of Sister, a young Black woman seeking self-acceptance. Guided by the spirits of her ancestors, she explores the wisdom, strength, and legacy of Black women across generations. This year’s script includes original songs and explores three new foundational pillars of the Black community.
