Turtle Census at The Virginia Living Museum (Newport News)

$25 – $30Join us to assist with our annual Turtle Census project! Each summer, we live-capture turtles to monitor the species present in our local waterway and collect data on how their populations are changing over time. No prior training or experience is required – our team will take you through each step of this research project. The event will take place outdoors – please dress in cool clothing and bring a reusable water bottle. We recommend wearing a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
Minimum age is 12; guests under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
The cost is $25 for members and $30 for non-members.
