Those Silly Squirrels at Newport News Park

They’re always up to something – scurrying up and down trees, leaping from branch to branch, searching for food high and low, their energy seems endless! At home in the forest or in our back yards, squirrels are one of the most commonly seen wild animals. Whether you love them – or wish they would leave your bird feeders alone (or both!) – join us to learn more about these amazing and energetic animals.
Age Recommendation: All Ages
Join us Saturday, September 27th at 11 AM and 2 PM for our free educational program ‘Those Silly Squirrels’! This program will take place at the Newport News Park Discovery Center.
Discovery Center – From the Newport News Park main entrance, proceed 1 mile on Constitution Ave; the Discovery Center and parking lot is on the right – look for the Civil War canon! For more information about this program, please call the Discovery Center at (757) 886-7916.
