“Praised by Richard Goode as “a very gifted pianist and a musician of great sensitivity,” Junwen Liang has been recognized by New York Concert Review and The American Prize for his refined and expressive artistry. Since 2024, his career as a recitalist has expanded across the United States and China, with appearances at major series including Sevenars Music Festival, Fripp Island Friends of Music, Saugerties Pro Musica, Chamber On The Mountain, and Boston Court Pasadena. The 2025/26 season brings further engagements nationwide and abroad, alongside the preparation of his debut album with Sheva Collection in collaboration with Naxos of America. A prizewinner of several international competitions and a graduate of the Peabody Institute under Richard Goode, he is based in Philadelphia, where he teaches piano and coaches chamber music at the University of Pennsylvania.”
