The Daffodil Project at Jewish Museum and Cultural Center (Portsmouth)

JOIN US IN OUR COMMUNITY DAFFODIL GARDEN TO CELEBRATE SPRING DAFFODIL DAY!
The Daffodil Project is a worldwide effort to memorialize the 1.5 million children who perished in the Holocaust ; also in support of children everywhere suffering humanitarian crises today.
The Jewish Museum and Cultural Center (JMCC) hosts this annual event in Portsmouth and the Tidewater area.
Over 7,100 daffodil bulbs have been planted locally as part of the goal to honor 1.5 million children.
Thank you to the City of Portsmouth and Sheriff Michael Moore for assisting us with event security.
- Children’s activities
- Kosher refreshments (dairy),
- “Local Children in Need” A presentation by the Jewish Family Services of Tidewater
- Blessing by Rabbi Shlomo Eisenberg & Rabbi Jacob Herber
- Take home a bouquet to support the community garden.
