Sewing Skills 101 at Main Street Library (Newport News)

Want to learn how to sew? Dont know where to start? This event will be a DIY craft workshop designed for teens ages 12 to 17 that practices making basic, durable stitches using budget materials. Attendees will enjoy a cozy crafting atmosphere and stitch together their very own stuffed monkey from a pair of socks. Sock monkeys are vintage, offbeat and super cute! All materials will be provided by the library, so please register in advance to let us know youre coming. Registration begins July 22, 2026, at 10:00 am.
