Public Tour – Prominence and Power at Fort Monroe (Hampton)

The Powhatan Chiefdom controlled a vast landscape and maintained power over many tribes. This program will explore the intersectionality of politics, economics, culture and religion among tribes and their early interactions with English colonizers in the exhibit galleries and through hands- on activities.
