Out late or up early? Celebrate the summer solstice by joining Parks & Recreation for the Longest Day of Play! On June 21, rise and shine at 5:47 a.m. as we cater to the sun and offer recreational activities all day long! This year, Project: FiveFortySeven participates in the statewide initiative, Play All Day VA, along with other parks and recreation agencies around the state! Explore new parks or try out a new activity—all for free! Some of the highlights are below:
•Daily Access to JCCRC
•Bike and Paddle Craft Rentals
•Outdoor Pool Access
•Firetruck Duck Drop (Back for 2026!)**
•Fitness Classes
•Social Media Contest

**Note: guests attending the Firetruck Duck Drop are encouraged to arrive onsite as early as 11 a.m. to enjoy onsite activities such as crafts and games; however, the Drop will take place at Noon!
