Polar Plunge 2026 (Virginia Beach)

Never taken the plunge? It is sure to be the coolest thing you ever do! The water might be a little chilly, but the only thing you’ll feel is great. Gather your friends (and your nerves) and go for the cold to support Special Olympics Virginia. Every penny we raise supports 23,000+ athletes of all abilities.
Date: February 6 – 7 , 2026
Location: Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront – 3001 Atlantic Ave.
Plunge Details:
- Plunge Registration & Check-In is located on the second floor of the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
- Hours of Operation are Friday between 2-7 pm and on Saturday from 10am-1pm.
- Incentives can be picked up on the second floor of the Hilton Oceanfront after you check-in at registration.
- Please allow enough time to check-in, pick-up incentives and make it to the beach before 1pm
- The Plunge Tent will be open from 10am – 2pm; stop by for food, drinks and great music!
- Plunge will take place at 1pm. For the safety of participants please keep an eye on the countdown clock and wait for our signal before making your splash.
- Public Parking for both the 5k Run/Waddle and Plunge are available at 31st, 25th and 19th Street garages for $10. Limited on-street parking is available.
