Poetry Night for Kids at Poquoson Public Library (Poquoson)

In celebration of National Poetry Month, children in grades 3-5 are invited to attend Poetry Night! We will read several poems, then participants will have the opportunity to write their own poems in several creative formats. Anyone who participates will be encouraged to submit their favorite original poem into the PPL Poetry Contest!
Participants will be shown how to write an acrostic poem, they will also have the opportunity to write a blackout poem and also a paint chip poem. They can choose to do as many or as few poem types as they would like.
