PEP Collegiate Boat Race (Portsmouth)
April 14 - April 16
Mark your calendars for April 14 – 16
The 2026 PEP Collegiate Boat Race is coming to Portsmouth City Park — and it’s FREE to attend!
More than 350 collegiate engineers from 45+ universities will bring 55 electric boats to the Elizabeth River for the Promoting Electric Propulsion (PEP) 2026 Competition, a national collegiate race showcasing innovation in autonomy, propulsion, and vessel design.
Across three days, teams will test their designs, race their boats, and share the engineering behind them — all while building the skills that will power the next generation of maritime and defense innovation.
