Outdoor Classroom Grand Opening at Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge (Virginia Beach)

FreeBack Bay National Wildlife Refuge and the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge Society are excited to announce the Grand Opening of the Outdoor Classroom! This project has been in the works for several years, and thanks to the efforts of the Back Bay NWR Society, the Outdoor Classroom is ready for primetime.
Students from the Virginia Beach Environmental Studies Program have been instrumental in the design of this space. Following a ribbon cutting ceremony, students will showcase various aspects of the classroom design. We will also celebrate with family-friendly activities, including arts and crafts and guided nature walks
