Birds of a Feather presents mixed-media bird studies on watercolor paper mounted to wood panel. Though similar in subject, each work emphasizes unique expression through posture, detail, and mark-making. Each piece highlights the subtle differences that distinguish one bird from another – gesture, balance, and presence.
This body of work focuses on birds, drawn to their expressive presence and the organic structure of their forms. Through the rhythm of feathers, layered texture, and vibrant color, Lynette explores both delicacy and strength – capturing movement, personality, and the quiet drama found in nature.
