AUTUMN LIGHT:A Group Exhibition by the Blue Heron Chapter of the Sumi-e Society of America
Autumn Light is a group exhibition presented by the Blue Heron Chapter of the Sumi-e Society of America, featuring works inspired by nature, atmosphere, and the changing light of the season.
Rooted in the expressive tradition of East Asian brush painting, the exhibition invites viewers to slow down, observe, and experience the quiet transitions that define the natural world. Through expressive brushwork, tonal variation, and intentional composition, the works evoke harmony, balance, and presence.
The Blue Heron Chapter is a Hampton Roads–based nonprofit dedicated to fostering appreciation for East Asian brush painting and serving as a cultural bridge between East and West through workshops, exhibitions, and community education.
