Once Upon a Garden at Fred Heutte Garden (Norfolk)
April 18 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Join us for a magical spring morning as Once Upon a Garden lights up with our “Fireflies” program—an enchanting blend of storytime, creativity, and outdoor discovery designed especially for children.
We’ll begin with two delightful firefly-themed stories, gathering together to imagine warm evenings filled with tiny glowing lights dancing through the garden. From there, children will create their own firefly-inspired craft to take home—a little spark of the morning to remember.
Then we’ll head out into the garden to explore, learn about pollinators and beneficial insects, and discover how even the smallest creatures play an important role in our ecosystem. With child-sized tools and guided exploration, kids will connect with nature in a hands-on, joyful way.
Free and open to all Norfolk children. Registration is required.
Rain or shine—we’ll move indoors if needed.
Come ready to learn, create, and chase a little bit of garden magic.
