Madagascar (2005) follows four pampered Central Park Zoo animals—Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippo—who escape seeking freedom but end up shipwrecked on the island of Madagascar, forcing them to adapt to the wild with the help of quirky lemurs and penguins, all while trying to get back to New York.
