Matcha and Kurinuki Bowls! at All Hands Pottery (Norfolk)
May 23 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join us at All Hands Pottery for handbuilding kirinuki bowls and matcha demonstration and refreshers
Join us for an immersive café experience—sip, create, and set the vibe.
We’re blending creativity and calm for an evening rooted in ritual and making. We’ll begin with a matcha demonstration by Tiffany of Uncertified Café, then move into hands-on time with clay. Shape your own personalized matcha bowl (chawan) while vibing to a smooth, soothing jazz playlist.
Every detail is intentional—you’ll leave with a complimentary resin matcha whisk to elevate your at-home ritual.
Good drinks, good energy, and a little creativity—because your matcha should feel as good as it tastes.
There are two different ticket options for this event:

What is Kurinuki?
Kurinuki (sometimes spelled kirinuki or kuranuki) is a traditional Japanese handbuilding technique in ceramics that translates to “carving out” or “hollowing out.” It’s a subtractive process where a solid block of clay is carved, shaped, and hollowed into a vessel—rather than built up (like coiling) or formed on the wheel.
