Late Night Perseids Meteor Shower Watch (Windsor)

Come join BBAA members as we attempt to observe the Perseids Meteor Shower (Late Evening – Early Morning) at the Heritage Park & Joel C. Bradshaw Fairgrounds on the outskirts of Windsor, VA.

Perseids (August 13th) – with a new Moon and a steady, reliable zenith hourly rate of around 100, this year’s Perseids should be close to ideal, with the strongest action building after midnight and toward dawn. This has an average of 100 meteors per hour. Please put this on your calendar of things to watch!
Bringing the following items can enhance your experience at this event:
– Bug spray
– Reclining chair or air mattress
– Red light ONLY flashlight
– Blanket
– Extra change of clothes (in case of extreme dew)
