Indigo Story Circle with Indigo Academy (Virginia Beach)

Indigo Story Circle is a monthly book gathering where children connect through stories, thoughtful discussion, and a creative activity in a warm, welcoming setting.
Parent-attended. Open to homeschoolers and traditional students. Space is limited.
A $5 family registration contribution reserves your spot and allows us to prepare materials intentionally.
March: “The One and Only Ivan” by Katherine Applegate A heartwarming story about a gorilla who tells his own tale from the confines of a mall.
April: “Frog and Toad Are Friends” by Arnold Lobel A delightful collection of stories about friendship.
May: “The Snowy Day” by Ezra Jack Keats A beautifully illustrated tale about a boy enjoying a snowy day.
June: “Miss Nelson is Missing!” by Harry Allard. A fun story about a teacher’s disappearance and the kids’ newfound appreciation for her.
July: “Amari and the Night Brothers” by B.B. Alston A thrilling adventure as Amari discovers a magical world.
August: “The Boxcar Children” by Gertrude Chandler Warner. The inspiring story of four siblings who create a home in an abandoned boxcar.
September: “Room on the Broom” by Julia Donaldson A fun rhyming tale about a kind witch and her animal friends.
October: “The Gruffalo” by Julia Donaldson. A clever mouse outsmarts predators with an imaginative story about a mythical creature.
November: “Matilda” by Roald Dahl. The story of a brilliant girl with special powers who overcomes obstacles.
December: “The Polar Express” by Chris Van Allsburg A magical journey to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.
