Homeschool Garden Science at NBG (Norfolk)

Join us for our Homeschool Garden Science series! Introduce your homeschoolers to garden science through sensory activities, experiments, STEM-based projects, and more.

Recommended for children ages 6-10 with some chaperone assistance. All attending adults and children are required to have a registered ticket.

4/28 Fermentation 101 – Learn how microorganisms such as yeast facilitate the process of fermentation and how this process creates some of our favorite foods!

5/5 Plant Propagation – In this class, we will explore the different ways can be propagated to grow.

5/12 Language of Flowers –Did you know flowers can be used to communicate thoughts, feelings, and certain messages? In this class, join us to learn the secret language of flowers.

5/19 Vertebrates 101 Do you know the difference between a vertebrate animal and an invertebrate animal? Join us to the learn what it means to be vertebrate, then go on an exploratory walk to look for vertebrate critters in the Garden.
