Homeschool Garden Science at NBG (Norfolk)

May 12 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Join us for our Homeschool Garden Stewards May series! Each week we will review topics relating to botany, water ecology, environmental science, and more to elevate your garden scientist to a garden steward. Recommended for Homeschoolers ages 9-14. All attending adults and children are required to have a registered ticket. 

4/28 Azaleas 101 – It’s azalea season at NBG! Go on an exploratory walk to see the different species of azaleas blooming in the Garden, then document a flower dissection in your new natural journal.

5/5 Melon Science – In this class, we will head to the WOW Raised Bed displays to investigate the anatomy and science of melons.

5/12 Tomato Science -In this class, we will head to the WOW Raised Bed displays to investigate the anatomy and science of tomatoes..

5/19 Pepper Science In this class, we will head to the WOW Raised Bed displays to investigate the anatomy and science of peppers
