Homeschool Day at Military Aviation Museum: The Golden Age of Air Travel (Virginia Beach)

The Golden Age of Air Travel: Step back into the Golden Age of Air Travel and discover when flying was new, fancy, and full of innovation. Students will explore early military and civilian passenger planes, investigate the science behind flight food and airplane engineering, and compare historic and modern air travel while building curiosity, creativity, and STEM exploration.
Highlights:
Design a classic airliner or an air taxi
Create “meals” that explore how food joined air travel
Experiment with altitude, temperature, and become a commercial “flight crew”
Homeschool Days are drop-off programs, from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Pre-registration is required and attendance is capped at 15 participants. Lunch is not provided, and we do ask that all students be dropped off with a packed lunch. There is no on-site café option at the Museum.
