Glassblowing 1 (Norfolk)
May 30 @ 10:00 am - May 31 @ 5:00 pm

Set aside two days to become acquainted with the art of glassmaking. Learn basic techniques of working with molten glass and get to use all the tools yourself. This is the first class where students can gather (spool glass onto a metal rod in the glass furnace) to experiment, play, and create a series of shapes and forms. Learn how to shape glass with tools, air, and gravity. Each object builds on the knowledge and skills from the previous exercise, leading to the creation of a functional drinking glass.
