Fort Monroe Landscape Action Plan Community Engagement (Hampton)

May 14 @ 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Fort Monroe means different things to different people — history, waterfront recreation, community gathering, reflection, nature, and everyday public life.

As we begin the Fort Monroe Forward Landscape Action Plan, we’re inviting the public to help us think about what kind of place Fort Monroe should become over the next 25–50 years while preserving what makes it meaningful today.

Listening sessions and an open house begin this week, along with additional opportunities to share your perspective online.

We hope you’ll join the conversation.

Listening sessions–All at the Fort Monroe Visitor & Education Center located at 30 Ingalls Road:
May 13 – The Visitor Experience: Memorable, Inclusive, and Accessible 5 pm to 6:30 pm
May 13 – Storytelling: History, Heritage, and Culture 7 to 8:30 pm
May 14 – Placemaking: Making a Place, Creating an Experience 5 – 6:30 pm
May 14 – The Living Landscape: Nature, Environment, and Ecology 7 – 8:30 pm
