Federal Employees Admitted Free at the Zoo (Norfolk)

The Virginia Zoo is pleased to once again offer free admission to federal employees in hopes of bringing joy and connection to our community during the government shutdown. Starting Saturday, November 8, federal employees will receive free admission to the Zoo with a valid federal ID. Plus, guest tickets are 50% off when purchased in the same transaction (special events not included).
We’ll be keeping an eye on the situation and sharing updates as things change — but for now, we hope a zoo day brings some smiles your way.
To receive free admission, federal employees will be asked to present a valid federal ID at the ticket booth. Friends and family members of federal employees are welcome to purchase tickets at 50% off general admission rates, and children under 2 receive free admission.
