Eureka! Teen Science Café: From Endangered to Extinction at the Virginia Living Museum (Newport News)
May 6 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Join Alec Zaborniak, the Virginia Living Museum’s Non-Live Collections Manager, and Deanna Orr, our Conservation Manager, for an engaging look at how and why species go extinct. Through real fossils and preserved specimens, you’ll explore the stories left behind by species we’ve lost—and what they reveal about the challenges facing wildlife today.
Guests will have the opportunity to examine items from extinct and endangered species up close, and meet a few animals currently facing threats that put them at risk of extinction.
This final session in the Eureka! Teen Science Café series offers a thoughtful and eye-opening perspective on conservation, past and present.
