Enchanted Steps: History Through Dance at MEO Central Library (Virginia Beach)

Step into a world where movement becomes mythology, and every gesture echoes ancient story. In this workshop, Ami and Mihita will present a small dance number, and break it down using classical dance techniques. Learn the foundational concept of “rasa” (emotion), “bhava” (expression), “mudra” (symbolic gesture), “nritta nritye” (dance), and “natya” (drama).
Presented by Ami and Mihita of the Central Library Teen Advisory Group for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
