Voices of Tomorrow, Drums of the Diaspora at Attucks Theatre (Norfolk)
February 28 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Experience the power of steelpan and young voices united in celebration of Black history, culture, and hope. Mosaic Steel Orchestra joins forces with the Boys Choir of Hampton Roads under the direction of Julius McCollough for a dynamic collaboration featuring Caribbean steelpan rhythms, rich choral harmonies, and inspiring joint selections.
This special program traces the journey of the African diaspora through music—honoring ancestral roots, lifting up today’s youth, and imagining a future filled with resilience and possibility. Audiences will enjoy featured selections from each ensemble as well as combined pieces that blend orchestra and choir into one unforgettable sound.
