Curtain Up: Community Day at the Wells (Norfolk)

The curtain is about to rise on another exciting season at Virginia Stage Company, and you’re invited to help us celebrate!

Join us on Saturday, August 22 for Curtain Up: Community Day at the Wells, a free, family-friendly open house celebrating the start of our new season. Whether you’re a longtime patron or stepping inside the Wells Theatre for the very first time, this is the perfect opportunity to experience the magic of live theatre in a fun and welcoming way.

Throughout the day, you’ll have the chance to explore the historic Wells Theatre, meet members of our artistic team, enjoy live performances and behind-the-scenes experiences, and discover what makes Virginia Stage Company such a special part of Hampton Roads. We’ll also welcome many of our community partners, who will be on hand to share information about the incredible work they’re doing throughout our region.

There will be something for theatre lovers of all ages, with activities, demonstrations, giveaways, and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow arts enthusiasts. Whether you stay for an hour or spend the whole day with us, Curtain Up is the perfect way to kick off the season.

Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. We can’t wait to welcome you to the Wells and celebrate another unforgettable season together!

• 5pm – Fleet Forces Rock Band performance
