Commemorating 250 years of our nation’s independence!
Doors open at 2:00 pm for “Sing with us!”, Concert Program Begins at 3:00 pm
Come and celebrate 250 years of independence as we present vocal and instrumental music by familiar American composers like William Billings, Charles Ives, Amy Beach, Paul Bowles, Amy Beach, Harvey Stokes, Scott Joplin, Florentine Price, Louis Moreau Gottschalk, John Phillip Sousa, and others. Performers include Andrey Kasparov, Oksana Lutsyshyn, Bianca Hall, the Old Dominion University Madrigal Singers, Harvey Stokes, Tim Seibles, Christopher Brydge, Larry Giddens, and the Invencia Piano Duo.
“Sing with us!”
Join our artistic directors at 2 pm for “Sing with us!”, a pre-concert opportunity to learn about and learn to sing two anthems written at the time of our nation’s founding, “Aurora” and “Chester” by William Billings. Then, join the performers in singing these pieces to open the main program at 3 pm.
Adults $40, students free
Join us for a reception following the performance.
