“Bound by Letters” Performance at the Torggler Center (Newport News)

The American Revolution provides the backdrop to the dramatic lives and wartime correspondence of Continental Army General Henry Knox and and his young wife, Lucy Knox. In collaboration with TheatreCNU, Dr. Denise Gillman directs museum performances of selected readings of Revolutionary War-era letters and diaries. Theater students Nathaniel Newman and Olivia Hargest will perform Henry and Lucy Knox twice each month in a 75-minute theatrical reading in Torggler Fine Arts Center Lecture Hall.
