Boardwalk Astronomy (Virginia Beach)

Come join the Back Bay Amateur Astronomers and help us kick off our first monthly Boardwalk Astronomy summer series event for 2025! Telescopes will be set up on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk near the 24th Street Stage to allow the public an opportunity to observe the night sky for free. Solar scopes will be used until sunset for safe views of the Sun and then guests will be able to observe the Moon and and any other night sky objects for the rest of the event.
The BBAA holds five boardwalk events, weather permitting, each summer.
