This summer, the beach becomes the stage. Max Media, with Resort Management and the City of Virginia Beach, launches Bands in the Sand—a free concert series at the Oceanfront, bringing live music to the sand on select Thursdays, beginning May 7.
Surrounded by the boardwalk, Ocean Eddie’s Seafood Restaurant, and the Atlantic Ocean, Bands in the Sand delivers a truly unique concert setting, where the waves crash, the sun sets, and live bands perform just steps away.
This free, family-friendly series features eleven Thursday afternoon shows, turning the Oceanfront into a must-visit destination for locals and visitors all season long. Backed by the full promotional power of Max Media’s five radio stations, plus digital and social platforms, Bands in the Sand is set to become the can’t-miss event of the summer.
Open at 6PM, bands begin at 7PM.
Bring your beach chairs, friends & family, and get ready to dance in the sand. This is Virginia Beach’s ultimate summer soundtrack!
