Ankara Print Fan Workshop at Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center (Newport News)

Age 12/up

Make a beautiful Ankara-print fan in time for Juneteenth! In this workshop, participants will create their custom fan via sewing machine. Suitable for beginners and those who are more advanced.
$25
Materials Needed: 1 yard of Ankara-print fabric (pre-washed), sewing machine (optional), thread (this fan can also be made using a hot glue gun, but thread for sewing is still needed.), 1-yard medium weight fusible interfacing
Supply Fee: $10 paid directly to the instructor unless you bring your own supplies (covers sewing machine use, thread, and specific selection of Ankara fabric).
