Newport News Winter Festival

A new FREE winter event full of family fun coming up in Newport News, don’t miss the Winter Carnival!

Where: Former Kmart site, 401 Oriana Road, Newport News VA

When: The winter carnival is Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 12-5pm

Weekend Skating Rink is open Friday-Saturday-Sunday, February 3-5, 2023.

FREE WEEKEND SKATING RINK (includes free skate rental): Friday 4-8 pm. Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm.

Cost: Free admission, Free activities, Free ice skating

Description: Join us for some “frozen” fun as Newport News Parks & Recreation celebrates with a Winter Carnival! Centered around a 4000+ square foot synthetic ice rink, the event will feature elements such as carnival games, face painting, candy apple treats, crafts, a hot chocolate bar, photo ops and a live DJ! Skates, games, activities, parking and admission are all FREE.  Food vendors will be on site selling delicious food and tasty treats.
