Coats For Families – Hampton Roads (How to Receive or Donate a Coat)

The simple truth is that there are children (and parents) in Hampton Roads who do not have a coat to keep them warm this winter…. at the bus stop, on the walk to school, or on their way to work. The mission of the local Coats for Families drive is to provide new and gently used coats to kids, teens and adults in need across the Hampton Roads region.

To Donate: Coats are being collected now through December 2025, at many different locations throughout Hampton Roads. See the full list here.

To Receive: Dates for coat distribution will be in January 2026. Exact dates/times TBA. Please follow the link below for specific dates, updates, any program requirements, and information on the location closest to you. Check back for updates if there are no specific dates currently listed.
