The CHKD Junior Volunteer Program – 2025

Children's Hospital of the King's Daughers

If you have an Active Teen who is interested in working with children, and/or within the medical field this is a wonderful opportunity for great experience!

Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD) are now accepting volunteers for their Junior Volunteer Program. Applicants must be 15 or older by June 1, 2025.

Program Description:  The Junior Volunteer program is divided into multiple sessions, each lasting 2 weeks. Volunteers should request a session that does not conflict with other summer plans such as camps and vacations.

All 2025 sessions operate Monday through Thursday only (no Fridays, weekends, or holidays).

  • Session 1: June 16 – June 26
  • Session 2: June 30 – July 10
  • Session 3: July 14 – July 24
  • Session 4: July 28 – August 7

Volunteers report to their volunteer assignment on weekdays, Monday through Thursday only during the session, and can choose a morning shift (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.) or an afternoon shift (1 – 4 p.m.). Please note: The summer program offers limited roles that involve patient contact, but the MAJORITY of volunteer opportunities are strictly office-based.
