Annual Jam’n Jamz in Norfolk (Free Fruit/Nut Tree)

Coming up in Norfolk – the Annual Jam’n Jamz event!

Where: Lafayette Park, Shelter, 3500 Granby Street, Norfolk VA

When: Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 10am-1pm (weather permitting)

Cost:  Free!  Trees are limited to one per household and are available to Norfolk residents only – proof of residency is required. Come early, as the trees go quickly–first come, first served!

Description: Get a free tree to plant in your yard to increase Norfolk’s tree canopy, reduce heat, help with flooding, create habitat for native wildlife and more!

Trees will be given on a first-come, first-served basis and we cannot guarantee a specific species will be available. Some trees will go out in pairs, such as apples and blueberries.

Tree adoptions are limited to one tree (or pair) per household.

NOTE: The event may end early if all trees are adopted before 1 p.m. Please be sure to get there early as this is a very popular event!
